GTA Online Modding with FSL [1.70 - 3411]

Due to the recent BattleEye update for GTA Online, modding has become somewhat harder for users that don't want to pay, but still very possible. Let's walk you through everything you need to know.

Before you begin!

• Ensure BattleEye is disabled in the RockstarGames Launcher Settings.
• 
• For best results it seems BattleEye should be installed on your PC, just disabled. If its not installed you may run into future issues.
• NEVER download mods from random websites you find, for example YouTube. This will not only download viruses on your PC, but can get you banned very quickly from GTA Online.
• You will need a UnknownCheats account to download the latest files. No worries, this isn't too hard to create one.

Here we go:

1. Download the free version of Stand. This version of Stand is not only a good dll injector, but Stand will give you free premium protection out of the box.
2. Next, you will need the menu of choice. In this case YimMenu is fine.
3. Next up, download FSL and rename the file to only version.dll and put the file into your GTA 5 directory.

Once you did everything correctly and carefully, follow these next steps:

1. Open the Stand Launchpad you download and ensure you select your correct game version and auto inject is checked.
2. Inside of Stand Launchpad click on "Advanced" and click "Add", then locate the YimMenu.dll you downloaded and select it.
3. Optionally, if you don't want to use the free Stand protection, you can simply uncheck "Stand" and only keep YimMenu checked.
4. Once you checked the mods you want to be injected, simply launch GTA 5 and instantly (if auto inject is selected), the mods will be loaded into your game.
5. Always launch GTA 5 into Story Mode first! Never load into GTA Online first, just to play it safe.
6. Finally, once in Story Mode you can start into a GTA Online lobby of choice.
7. Open YimMenu with Insert button. Open Stand with keypad + button.

Final important, but optional steps to follow!

If you try to goto GTA Online you will likely be kicked out if not host due to new security, lets somewhat fix this.

1. Inside of YimMenu, goto the Network and Spoofing tab.
2. Turn on Player Magnet (32)
3. Turn on Player Count (25)
4. Turn on Multiplex (50)
5. Turn on Region and Language and set it to your normal or leave default.

If this doesn't work, you might be temporarily GUID banned. This usually lasts for 24 hours.

That should be all. You will need to be the server host when playing with players that have BattleEye or you will eventually be kicked. No known way to bypass this currently.

Bonus Tips For FSL

Use ~ on your keyboard while in GTA Online to open the cheat codes box. Here are the cheats you can use:

Additionally, you can access your FSL game save in %APPDATA%\FSL. Easily get there by pressing buttons WIN + R then typing %APPDATA%\FSL in the box.

You can share game saves as well as use other people's game saves.

Be sure to back it up to a safe place often as your computer is where all your progress now lays.

More BattleEye blocking

1. In your GTA 5 directory, look for the file commandline.txt (if you don't have one you can simply create a txt file with that name)
2. Open the commandline.txt and put the line -nobattleeye then save the updated txt file. Optionally, you can put -disableCustomLoadingScreen to make loading GTA 5 faster.
3. Open up CMD as Administrator and type this command sc delete BEservice to delete the BattleEye service.

GTA Online should work fine without these steps, but if you want the bonus safety, go for it.

Edit your account Stats:

WARNING: Only do this if you have FSL for sure installed correctly! Modifying your stats on RockstarGames's server has a 100% detection and you will be banned!

1. Open YimMenu and navigate to Network > Stat Editor
2. Use the Stat and Value text box to change anything you need for your account.
3. Once you type into the text boxes, simply click Apply to set the changes.

If you're banned on GTA Online or simply need a fresh start on FSL, you can download the clear_saves.zip save files and put it into your %APPDATA%\FSL and when you goto GTA Online it will prompt you to create a new character.

How to uninstall FSL and go back to your regular RockstarGames server save:

1. In your Game Directory: Delete Version.dll
2. Go to Documents->Delete RockstarGames Folder
3. Press Win+R and type %appdata% press Ok then Delete FSL Folder

Now you can simply start up your game and it will go back to using the usual GTA Online setup without FSL so be sure to remember not to use any mods that would get you banned.
