What is the best way to install AVG on Windows?

When setting up AVG on Windows, here is a straight forward guide to getting everything setup on your PC.

1. First, download the ONLINE or OFFLINE AVG setup file. You don't need both.
2. Next, open the setup file you downloaded.
3. Make sure you uncheck "Yes, install AVG Secure Browser" if you have that option.
4. Click "Customize", then click "Minimal Protection".
5. You can unselect "Web Shield" also. Only "File Shield" and "Behavior Shield" need to be checked.
6. Once you have done the above steps, click "Install".
7. After AVG finishes installing, open it and goto Settings > General > Personal Privacy and uncheck all of the boxes for maximum privacy.

That's it! AVG should be setup to the most basic out of box settings that is recommended. You may now change any settings you like if needed.
